The problem of legal protection of LGBT people
my opinion
1) It is unacceptable to offend people by innate signs, if the very fact of the presence of this sign does not harm others. Homosexual orientation is not a choice (no one voluntarily chooses the path of humiliation and suffering). Therefore, it is inhumane to humiliate a person verbally or even physically and deprive him of basic rights based only on the fact that he is homosexual.

2)The choice is whether to live openly or not (go on dates with a guy or a girl, post photos on social networks and so on - do everything the same as heterosexual couples). Yes, it's a choice. And if a person chooses to live openly, it should not cause dissonance and should not be a reason for insults, because this does not harm anyone.
Homophobia is negative attitudes towards homosexuality or people who identify or are perceived as LGBT
Legal protection is
these are measures to restore the violated rights of people, these are official laws or moral norms that allow people to be protected
Persecution of LGBT people at the legislative level in Russia throughout history
"Have gays and lesbians always been outlawed?"
  • Peter pervy
The punishment for "unnatural fornication" (burning at the stake) first appeared in 1706 in the military regulations of Peter the Great
  • Nikolay I
The law applied to all residents of the country. The persecution of homosexuals was justified by religious motives.
  • The Bolsheviks
There were no articles for homosexuality in the constitutions adopted by the Bolsheviks. They didn't approve of it, but they didn't send him to prison either
  • the USSR
Repression and the law for sodomy. Homosexuals were considered spies or counter-revolutionaries and were imprisoned
  • After Stalin's death
The penalty was weakened, but the article continued to operate. The persecution of not only gays, but also lesbians began. Most often, girls were sent not to prisons, but to mental hospitals for compulsory treatment
  • After the collapse of the USSR
In 1993, the article was repealed, but those who were convicted did not receive amnesty
From the point of view of the law, homosexuality was punished before, it is still being punished now
Very often, the government at the official level expresses disdain and contempt for people they don't like.
They are introducing laws that restrict people's rights to a peaceful and ordinary life. Homophobia thrives both at the state level, spreading to most of the country's population as the norm. Very often homophobia is justified by the best motives - religion, caring for children, the desire not to succumb to the influence of the "terrible West"
The laws of Russia at the moment regarding LGBT
-In 2013, a law was passed banning the promotion of homosexuality among minors

-At the moment, the adoption of a similar law is being discussed. But he will already spread out to everyone, and touch absolutely everything. Books, advertisements, movies among both children and adults. Moreover, the text of the law is blurred and incomprehensible. This was done specifically so that in the future it would be possible to put anyone under this law
